The cast of this mystery is numerous. The team of detectives has their work cut out for them as they try to figure out who is the serial killer. The detectives unravel more than they anticipate as they gather clue after clue. The clues lead them down paths that no one expects. They have more suspects than they want and the list seems to keep growing the more clues they get. As the suspect list grows, so do the questions. How does everything fit together? What is the tie? Will the killer make a mistake that will tell whom it is?

The killer is smart. He/she has a plan and is executing it with perfection. One killing down and he/she is on to the next. He/she wants the world to understand justice. The killer decides that the best way to do this is by telling his story on the dark web. He/she starts a blog that describes the murders in detail. It is gory and it explains the justice that is gotten. How the killers mind works is intricate and somewhat confusing to the detectives.

The chief inspector is able to piece things together but not before his team and others are in danger. Will the team prevail or will the killer? The plot is set. Will justice prevail?

The Dark Web Murders -The Inspector Sheehan Mysteries Book 4 by Brian O’Hare was a mystery that had me engaged from page one. The characters developed throughout the book and were entwined in ways that were not expected. This kept me thinking the whole time.

I did enjoy the book overall and there were not errors worth mentioning. It did take a while to get to know all of the characters since there were many, but this did not hurt the book. I think it sets this book apart from other mysteries since you have so many suspects to choose from. This makes you guess and second guess who the killer is. The book has mystery, drama, intrigue, sex, scandal, and murder. That is a lot to pack into one book. I decided to give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

I would recommend this book to mystery lovers and anyone that wants to try and figure out a well crafted murder. There is definitely sexual/graphic content. If you are good with sex clubs, rape, murder, blood, and gore then you will like this book. I would not recommend this book to young readers because of the graphic content.
