This an impressive novel. I especially didn't appreciate the complex nature of the story. It seems to be with any theme. Good review here!

I read the first book of Game of Thrones, but wasn't impressed. In general, I am not a fan of science fiction/fantasy genre unless it is a filled with interesting character interaction. I am on the fence with this #BOTM..

I have just finished reading this book. I'm still thinking about some of its details, but I found your review very nice for guiding my after-reading thoughts. Particularly, I like the detail that you mention from the length of the sentences. I didn't notice it, but I think it was a nice touch to your review.

Good review, but Sci-Fi is not for me. After reading the sample on Amazon, it confirmed my not wanting to read it.

I read this book and was impressed with Tysz. I love the character Galen not just because he was the main character but also because with him, I was able to explore voulhire. I'm impressed with the added map for a better pictorial understanding of Voulhire. A well-written review too, I enjoyed it and hoped it was longer.

I have been looking foward to reading a good sci-fi fantasy and this seems like an exciting one. The presence of maps is extremely important in any fantasy world, as with the expanding worlds in the book, it sometimes becomes difficult to keep up with the author's imagination. It's good to find out that the author spends a few pages to introduce the reader to the overall geography of the place. Your review makes it sound pretty intriguing. I will add this to my shelf. Thank you!

I am a huge fan of both "The Game of Thrones" books and series to the point of my dogs is named after a character. If this book is even close, it will quickly become a favorite. I try to look for more shorter series as the suspense for the next one is excruciating. However, I am willing to make an exception. Great review. I will be adding this to my reading agenda.

I have never read any of Matthew Tysz's books, I guess it's because I'm not much of a fantasy fan. I guess I'll try this one... let's see if I get hooked enough to complete the series.
