Reading this book is quick and easy. It looks as if all you would need to do is grab it around March to practice for Easter and this is not the case at at all.The author, Maya Elston, makes it clear from the beginning these eggs are for display only and require time and patience.
All these beautiful designs she provides are glitter free and miniature works of art. Any art medium you can use, can be used on an egg. Some eggs were even decorated with lace, jewelry, and paintings. The #1 egg to decorate appeared to be wooden. Instructions were provided for all forms of eggs from plastic to emptied bird eggs.
Eggs can display anything a canvas can. From culture and traditions to foreign art and rug designs. She even has a blank layout of an egg so you know how much space you can use. Before this book I thought of eggs for Easter and breakfast but now I'm considering displaying all over my house so little pieces of art can decorate any area.
