Finding A Job in Tough Times by Dr. Tim Johnson surely delivers on its title. It contains a lot of different useful tips and simple exercises(like describing people, describing yourself, listing your skills and abilities, etc.) to help find a job you want. It also helps to leave the job you do not like and turn your passion or hobby into a profitable career. The exercises present in the book at first seem very similar and useless but prove to be useful as you read the book. They all are very important and it is even stated in the book that you should not skip any of them.
I loved the book's presentation. I have not found any spelling errors. Editing was on point. The book is in the form of a conversation. The author does not only give you the exercises but also shows how they could have helped him in his life. The book contains enough space for completing the exercises but in case you run out it is suggested to have a notebook at hand.
In my opinion, this book is perfect for people with little or no working experience like college graduates. It will also help people who want to change their job for a variety of reasons like not enjoying how much they earn, a job being monotonous or unenjoyable. It helps people who are searching for a job for the first time to avoid such problems in the future. I would suggest this book to a young male audience. The author himself mentions at the beginning that it is mostly targeted at men(i think its just because of the stories from the author's past).
I overall liked the book and its contents. I think a lot of people could use the information given here, even if they are not looking for a job. I liked the stories from the author's past as some of them were quite relatable.
I would rate this book 4 out of 4. I am confident it deserves such a score. I have not found any reasons for it to be lower. It certainly is different from other "find a job" type books. It helped me as I am myself looking for a job at the moment. I look forward to using the information in the book and after reading I feel more confident about my future. I certainly will recommend this book to people who are interested in finding a job.

I find it interesting that the author himself states the book is mostly targeted at men. I wonder if he thinks the process of finding a job (or changing jobs) is different for women?
