In the world, many children have gone missing, never to be seen again, except one. Will Cleary was the only child to have ever come back from these kidnappings. He and his twin sister, Emmy, disappeared at the same time. Only Will made it back and now, years later, he sets out to find his sister. With his animal companions by his side, he sets out to find his sister and uncover what is happening. When his animal companions reveal a startling truth to why he was spared, his mission becomes more than just saving his sister. He must help save Echoland.

When Will goes to Echoland, he learns that there are “Sounds” and there are “Echoes”. The sounds represent our world, while the echoes are their counterparts; much like the sound and echo we all know. While in disguise, Will must help his Echo counterpart solve a mystery. As Will and his new friend, Peter, try to solve the mysteries unfolding, they run into trouble. With danger around every corner, they must carefully find the clues and help save the land; not to mention, Will cannot let his true identity be known. Only few people know his true identity, but as it turns out, more people know than thought.

The creatures in this book were also a big hit for me. From the friendly creatures, to the less desirable creatures, every creature added a great deal to each aspect of this story. While this book did remind me of some other fantasy books, it kept my attention much longer than some. The magical element in this book was a great touch. Not only did it add to the mysteries, but also it set certain characters out from others. Without it, the story would not have progressed as well as it did.

Dem Pellucid has built such a wonderfully enchanting world that I had a hard time putting this book down. Each and every page had me eagerly wanting to find out what happened next. Just when I thought I had a finally figured out where the story was going, it threw me for a huge loop. There was not a single part of this book I disliked, unless you count the part that said THE END, only because I wanted this story to keep going and going.

Crystilleries of Echoland gets a solid 4 out of 4 stars from me. Not only was it written so well, I did not catch any errors in her writing. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good fantasy book full of magic and mystery. If you are a fan of YA fantasy and are looking for your next read, check out this book. This page-turner was completely captivating as a reader who enjoys fantasy, not only for the storyline in general, but the wonderful world that Pellucid portrayed. I would not change anything about this book. I only wish there was a sequel to elaborate on what happens after that last page.

Congrats on your first published review. This was definitely a great middle-grade/young adult fantasy adventure. And most of us who read it are hoping for the sequel that seems to be hinted at in the end.

:D :D Thank You. I am pretty sure I went full hermit while reading this book. Every once in a while my fiance would ask if I was ok; he'd see me reading it and go about his day. :D :D :techie-studyingbrown: :techie-studyingbrown: :techie-studyingbrown:
