I really enjoyed reading Sugar and Spice by H.M. Irwing. It was extremely well written with the perfect amount of classy, sex appeal. It was never trashy like some romance novels can be. It just felt authentic. The way the author describes every situation with such detail makes you feel like you’re there. I love the rawness of the lust Sadiq and Cat share for one another. You can feel their desperation as they experience it. Try as they might, they can’t seem to fight their longing for each other. The depth of the characters made me want to keep getting to know them. They were so real to me, and I felt connected to them.

The relationships in Cat’s life have so many layers. The connection between Sadiq and Cat is the obvious main relationship, but there are so many others. Cat’s connections with her sisters are beautiful and sweet. They are more than just sisters; they are best friends. Her relationship with her parents feels very authentic as well for a young lady of her age. She is torn between a normal teenage life, and a very grown up life she wants with Sadiq.

The love story of Sadiq and Cat is a tantalizing one. They know how bad they are for each other, and yet they keep going back for more.Cat is at war with her feelings for the sexy prince. She doesn’t want to want him, but she can’t contain herself. Her desires can only be met by him, and he feels the same way about her. He knows he needs to keep his distance from the young, immature girl that Cat is. He’s too old to be toyed with, and he’s not used to women playing hard to get. He’s used to women flocking to him, and doing his bidding. Catherine Little is nowhere near the submissive type though. He may have to work at this one. There is a new dynamic though that neither one of them could have ever imagine.

Cat is haunted by the huge secret she keeps from her family. She doesn’t want to disappoint the ones she loves so much. It’s only a matter of time, though, before they find out just what Catherine Little has been hiding. What happens when she reveals her secret, you will need to read to find out. You will not regret reading this one. I give it 4 out of 4 stars! It was superb!
