Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi is the seventh book in the Inca Cat Detective Series. Each installment in the series has Inca and company embarking on investigative adventures. In the process, they have been able to solve mysteries and saved the day on those occasions.
In this seventh book in the series, Inca the Siberian Kitty was on a holiday vacation to Sri Lanka. Though without her complete crew, she immediately saw an opportunity for her next adventure. The plan was to enjoy the beautiful things that Sri Lanka had to offer – beautiful temples, caves with centuries-old drawings, and the sandy beaches. The news of a stolen old antique sword sparked Inca’s interest. He immediately assembled the available members of her detective company for a mission to find the missing artifact. What would they encounter in this adventure? Would they succeed?
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi is a short, intriguing, and interesting book to read. I enjoyed every single page of this book. As I stated earlier, it is the seventh in the series. However, I didn’t need to have read the preceding installments to understand the storyline. Though some of the major characters in the previous series were missing in action, the author subtly mentioned them at strategic places. This helped me understand where the story was coming from and where it was headed. For what it’s worth, I already made plans to read the preceding installments.
As I swiped the opening pages of my Kindle device, I observed something that caught my interest in the book. It was a list of the main characters and their roles. This was very helpful as I delved deeper into the book. I already knew the characters and what to expect from them. The character development was excellent. There was no vague or redundant character as I’ve seen in some books of this nature. Kudos to R. F. Kristi for doing such a great job.
I rate Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R. F. Kristi 4 out of 4 stars. It was well-written and professionally edited. I would recommend this book to children of all reading ages. Adults will also enjoy reading this book, just like I did.
