The Spirit of Want is an indeed tall story. William writes about two lives who get to meet to at a function intended for raising of funds for the new eye institute. Lucy who is a defense lawyer and Luke Osbourne a surgeon. The events took place in Atlanta in 1984. The plot is not intent on captivating, but the emotions embedded in each of the sections disclose the feelings everyone of the characters has. This makes the story stand out. And portrays the author as good therapist. Thus, giving a vivid display of the respective traits.

The vulgar words I observed are an expression of anger and discontentment. The first word I observed is 'ass' at location seventy five of one hundred and ninety six in paragraph four: 'It would put a rocket in your ass, my friend. Boost you to the sky. It's an opportunity that won't come around again.'

I only noticed two erotic scenes. One is a description of how Luke viewed Lucy. The other is how he felt about her.

Most of the plot is woven from and in shreds of anger, regret, discontentment and fear. I have to thank Lucy for her ways which were out of place. I had to constantly imagine a vehicle driven by a drunk who laments about how she had been unfairly treated , since childhood due to her roots. Though Lucy made others feel uncomfortable, she was sad too.

The characters as well as feelings are greatly discussed. The flow is good, though fear filling. These are some of the facts I discovered. Pride comes before a fall and it never rains but it pours. I rate the book four out of four stars. I noticed no grammar or typing errors. The tale, whose plot is mostly a havoc, put me on the edge of my seat.

I recommend this book to individuals who have constant encounters with humans who have superiority complexities. This book will assist you understand why that is. The author preferred to use this scenario, but think about circumstances tending to be similar. This tale is a good read for persons who love tense situations and confrontations. If you love reading, these events will attract your attract your interest.

My favorite character is Lucy. While reading, I discovered that she is not intently misbehaved.Lucy regards Elizabeth more loved by Agnes and their father than her. Others include: Elizabeth who enabled Luke to feel at home, Luke with his own dish of emotions thanks to what he had been through.

The Spirit of Want by William H. Coles is about varying emotions of differing individuals. These are some of the lines the writer preferred to use. He had neither the social status nor the money to be at the club. He was relieved she was gone but he missed looking at her. Her beauty was the only pleasant memory about her. One glance could up the heartbeat of a dead man.
