Strong Heart by Charles Sheldon is a very interesting book. I was very much intrigued from the very begining. It takes you on a journey to where you're not sure if it's real, fantasy, dream or what. It's somewhat of a mystery & a treasure hunt looking for a piece of a ancient artifact that was given to Tom by his grandfather. The journey starts as Tom & his friends are packing to leave in the morning for a hiking trip, when the there's a knock at the door. Tom answers the door & to his surprise his 13 year old grandaughter his on his front stepps. Tom couldn't leave her at his house by herself so he decided to have her come along. Even though William thought it was a bad idea & that she was trouble.
Next morning while Tom & William & Sarah Toms granddaughter finished packing Myra went to her place to pack a few items for Sarah, since she didn't have any hiking clothes or camping supplies. When they finally made it to the camping site they set up for the night.
They pitched their tents & gathered fire wood to make a fire to keep warm.
Their journey started that day as they went on their hike. This was a journey that they had no idea or could even imagine going on, let alone take a 13 year old girl with them.
As I was reading this book I was able to place my self in the story & being all the characters & going through the journey & it will keep you on the edge of your seat till the end. With the ending the way it was I am hoping that there will be a continuing story in the future.
I found the characters to be very real like like the type who thrive on adventure & mystery & trying to find the lost treasure. I thought the author did an excellent job in writting the story. It was thrilling...exciting & kept you interested in reading it & very well edited.
I give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars . I gave it this rating basically because it kept me intrigued & on the edge of my seat. I would recomend this to anyone who likes a good adventure. It has action..adventure..mystery..and a smidge of romance.
