If you like magic, mystery, suspense, and the strength of friendship and family, then this book is a must read. A young boy, by the name of Will, must go to Echoland to save his twin sister, Emmy. While there he meets a boy by the name of Peter, whom becomes his venturing buddy throughout the whole book. Peter and Will defeat all odds as they race against evil to save Echoland and all those trapped inside.

As if looking for your lost sister in a strange land isn't hard enough, Will is forced into many situations with Fate Sealers, crystal balls with spying eyes, and a secret evil that I shall not reveal to you here. However, I will tell you that as you read through the pages you get drawn in and begin to solve the mystery alongside the boys. With clues, a hidden map, and secret coin keys; you will begin to take notes of what fits where and who was here at that time.

The Crystilleries of Echoland, by Dew Pellucid, deserves a 4 out of 4 rating; in my opinion. I absolutely loved this book. The way Dew put his words so perfectly in the text made me feel as if I were on the journey with Will and Peter. I love books of magic and animal companions. With suspense and secrets around every page, I couldn't stop reading it. I had to know if Will would make it to the end. I had to know if he finally took his sister home.

I didn't find any spelling errors, but I did find some confusing text. I only list them here because as you read I hope for you to find clues as to their meaning.

In chapter 40, page 238, the author states that Peter's dog Poudini, is locked in the dog house with Wolfea. Then they head off to the library. On page 241, Peter throws Poudini a Crystalmas ribbon while they are in the library deciphering the Mapa. Dew Pellucid never stated exactly how Poudini got there.

Also, on page 290, as the boys come to the river sinister figures begin to arise. The author writes, " Eddie's turned into see-through heads, waves into legs." I'm not sure what Eddie's is referring to. I searched through the book and this is the only time it is mentioned. I believe it to be a typo, but it could also just be misread.

Read the Crytilleries of Echoland to see if you can find the meaning of Eddie's or how poudini ends up in the library. Like I said previously it's a great read and holds lots of secrets to mysteries just waiting to be solved.
