Quite a heartfelt rendition of Joey's story under the gruel hands of his father. Its a book I'd really like to read. Thanks for the wonderful review.

I often wonder if the prologue is written at a different time than the novel itself. In spite of this, it sounds like a wonderful book. I hope Joey ends up with the woman he loves and a wonderful musical career. Thank you for your review!
I have wondered this myself. Could the Prologue be added as a sales technique, since so often you can sample the first few pages of a book before purchasing it?

You made a very thorough review and got me very looking forward to dig into this unique plot of a story. Abuse is such a sensitive matter and yet relevant and timely. I would like to know how Joey was able to go through it and survive and used his learning to be better.

This definitely seems like a poignant story. I'm glad he had his mother and teachers to help him along with his goal. Thanks for the interesting and informative review!

It truly is! Its amazing just how much and how far Joey would go in order to follow his passion. His mother as an advocate helped so much in the development of the story plot and to me it was a relief to know that Joey wasn't completely alone in his pursuits. Thanks so much for reaching out!

I don’t have a single musical bone in my body, but it sounds like Joey and his trombone are capable of serenading readers worldwide! Great review.

It appears to be an inspiring story, yet I do not prefer the genre. Nice review though. Thanks for sharing 👍👍

What a heartfelt review! It certainly sounds like a book that I would enjoy, especially the psychological aspects that can be observed not only at work but also how they developed considering that the book covers 30 years of protagonist's life. Thank you! :) Adding it to my shelf :)

Coming of age novels usually cause me to cry, and it sounds like this novel might be the same. I like the idea of it centering around music. Too bad it has some erotic scenes; it would be a good book for struggling musicians to read.

Sounds like a great book. Abuse is always difficult to handle. I'm glad the author does so in a sensitive manner. Thanks for your thoughts on this one.

Tears and Trombones by Nanci Lee Woody Follows the story of a young boy who love musics. I must recommend the author skills in helping to make this book calm and understandable through his writing. I did enjoy the review.
