[Following is a volunteer review of "Man Mission" by Eytan Uliel.]
Man Mission it is a true tale of "Men among the Men"
It all starts at a college dish fair where the protagonist introduces us to his classmates and friends, along with those who will undertake the journey of their lives. There will be laughter there will be tears and there will be a pink wristband.
This book takes the adventures and stories of a group of friends from leaving university to becoming middle-aged men. We see how they turn from boys full of dreams and aspirations, to men with obligations and duties to fulfill. All this with the annual testimonials of each Man Mission. A yearly trip to exotic destinations where our protagonist and friends will live a week of activities that will test their manhood.
In the middle we see how they work, get engaged, get married, have children and face their couple crises. How the consequences of their actions and decisions affect their family environment and loved ones. As a bad personal decision can lead to the collapse of our existence. But as also through effort and dedication we can redeem almost any situation, but still we must live with its consequences.
An excellent book to read before bedtime or for a good afternoon of reading. I give it a score of 4/4.
