Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is the seventh stand-alone book of R.F. Kristi's "Inca book series". Inca is a Siberian cat, who runs a detective agency, Inca & Company, with her friends. Her friends-cum-associates are Formage, Cara, Monk, Charlotte, Terrance and Polo.

This book is about Inca's vacation on a nice and warm Srilankan island with her family. She meets and befriends a sea turtle and a baby elephant there. Soon, her vacation turns into a thrilling adventure. She comes across a case of museum robbery with very little clue. How will Inca be able to solve this mystery in an unacquainted place? Will she be able to live up to her reputation? You have to read the book to know the rest of the story.

Though I am too old for children's books, I am really glad that I chose this one. I enjoyed every bit of it. It’s a nice travelogue mixed with mystery and humor. The situations got pretty intense and suspenseful sometimes. Even I was wondering what would happen next. Also, it carried facts of the Srilankan territories and heritage, which can inform children about the country and its tradition.

The author chose the words wisely for a children's book. There are no such words inappropriate for children. The narration is very easy-to-understand. She depicted the characters in a very noble way. I think children will learn to be kind and compassionate towards people and animals from this. This is the best part of the book.

The book is professionally edited. I didn’t notice any grammatical errors or plot holes. Illustrations of the characters and events were also included in the book. The illustrations were very delightful, which helped me to envision the whole thing. I want to rate this book 4 out of 4. Though this book is mainly suitable for kids, I will suggest everyone to read it for a cheery experience.
