This book is eloquently written, with interesting characters. feelings of comfort, mystery, and shock coalesce into an enjoyable read, while providing a unique perspective of modern Native Americans and the origin of modern humans. It has a colorful and interesting cast of characters with developed personalities that you come to love throughout the book. This book does have some violent scenes and a vague nod towards sexual abuse.
The grammar and word choice of this book is non-repetitive and refreshing. Little to no errors exist in this book, the book feels professionally edited and is pleasing to read and look at. Each paragraph and sentence is beautifully constructed, making the book very immersive and enjoyable with no interruptions.
There are very few instances of profanity within this book and the only “profanity” there is, is a slight insult on page 196 (“Kiss off”), so this book is very clean mouthed.
There is slight sexually suggestive language in the book but no actual erotic scenes.
What I liked about this book was its ability to provide a completely unique and in a way needed, perspective of Native Americans and the invasions upon their tribal grounds, as well as how early natives lived. This book is very descriptive and lets you in on every minuscule detail, leading to no confusion as to what is happening in the book and fleshes out the beautiful environment.
I rate this book a 4/4 for its exquisite use of language to provide a completely distinctive experience.
