[Following is a volunteer review of "Nadeems journey" by Sherine Anniruth.]
Have you ever been placed in the position where you have to watch someone you love go through so much pain and you could only wish to take the pain instead? Well, here is the story that captures the passionate love and care of a mother for her son who was diagnosed with cancer. She could give up anything just for her beloved son to be well and strong again.
Nadeem was a young boy filled with so much life, he was hardworking and had a lot to live for. He was a brilliant child who did well in his academics and loved to play the game of Cricket so much that he would make anyone in the house play with him. He was made captain of his team in year three because of his passion for the game.
Nadeem was diagnosed with cancer and had to go to the hospital frequently. His health issues started compounding and he had to go through a lot of painful processes to see if there was a chance to help him get better.
Sherine gave her son, Nadeem all the love and support she could give to help him fight against cancer. Nadeem’s zest for life did not shrink even as his health kept deteriorating. Nadeem fought bravely and refused to give up, even up to the toughest period. He had his mother in mind and was worried about her. The love and support from his family, friends, and colleagues gave him hope to fight the illness but was it enough to hold him through the rough ride?
What I loved about this book is the author's ability to engage her reader. She leaves you enthusiastic about what happens next in the story. Nadeem’s journey: A Heart Wrenching Story of a Loving Mother Losing Her Son to Cancer by Sherine Anniruth is a non-fiction genre. The book is divided into 12 chapters with a total of 158 pages. The author’s language was easy to understand. I recommend this book to fans of the non-fiction genre. The book was very fascinating as it expresses the power of love and how it could help one fight through hard times. The theme of the story revolves around love, hope, and family.
There was nothing I did not like in this book. There was no use of profane words. It was well written and professionally edited as I was only able to find very few and negligible errors. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. The pictures attached to the book helps the reader to flow with the story as it made it relatable.
