The Queen of Xana

The Queen of Xana is a historical and romance book about a brave ruler named Agatha, who was intelligent and compassionate beyond all measure. She has courageously defeated an evil sorcerer named Magi, who tormented and stole from her people. She also strived to archive prosperity to all her people, maintaining humility and justice. Her love and compassion towards her people, helped her people to be civil and trustworthy. There was no corruption or any other sort of offense in her land; everything was in perfect harmony. Because of her compassion, her soldiers were faithful to her, they would even die for her, thus they defeated the greatest King Ibris. She was the greatest ruler that had ever lived; there was no other ruler who was like her, or even close to be like her. She was irreplaceable to her people.

Fred Pilcher used words to create a masterpiece. He created a land that defines paradise, a land of piece and harmony. He also created a ruler who is such a goddess, beautiful inside and out. The way he described Queen Agatha inspired me to become a better person. He made the events so real, one can never decide whether it is a legend or a true story. The book is straightforward; there are no twist or unexpected turns.

There are eight themes in the book, the theme of love, death, good vs evil, coming of age, power and corruption, survival, courage and wisdom, and lastly prejudice. Queen Agatha loved her people and her husband with all that she had, and prince Olaf loved his wife even though she could not bear children. There was great sorrow when Queen Agatha's father died during war, greater sorrow when soldiers died fighting for Xana people, and greatest sorrow of all when Queen Agatha died. The period of good vs evil occurred when Queen Agatha was fighting with Magi, and when there was war between Xana and King Ibris. Princess Agatha anticipated the day she will become of age and be queen, little did she know that great tragedy will follow. Before Queen Agatha's rein, there was corruption in the higher places, common people were the poorest of them all. The people of Xana had to strive to survive during the Bad times, there was limited food and livestock. Queen Agatha had to have courage to defeat Magi, and wisdom to defeat King Ibris . And lastly, when Queen Julia was the ruler, she never took interest in the common people. She focused on the aristocrats because she thought that is where the wealth comes from.

I like the fact that the author showed us the impact of Queen Agatha's rein, both positive and negative. The book is exceptionally flawless; I could relate with every character. I felt the pain and emotions that they felt.

To sum up everything that has been stated, the book is emotionally touching. Through the life of Agatha, I have learned how one person can change everything. I have learned how an act of kindness can change the life of one person entirely. And also how showing love and humility can improve one person's morals entirely.

The fans of Disney princesses will enjoy this book. The book is visibly free from errors. I rate the book 4 out of 4; it is one of the life changing books I have ever read.
