Inca the cat is the head of Inca and Company, a detective agency ready to serve your sleuthing needs. Together with her furry friends and family, they have solved numerous mysteries that put them to fame across Europe.

In Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi, Inca and her friends embark on a trip to Sri Lanka where they meet new friends and bask in the beautiful sceneries. It wouldn't be a perfect vacation without a mystery case for our detective friends to solve. Coincidentally, a nearby museum in Colombo reported a missing sword artifact from its collection. Who better solve the case than our feline detectives? Inca, Fromage, Cara, Terrance, and Charlotte, together with the animal friends that they meet along the way, join forces to catch the culprit before everything turns into a cat-astrophic misadventure.

The book is the 7th standalone children's book in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat series by R.F. Kristi. What I loved most in the book is it has many layers in it that even adults will enjoy while reading to their kids. Geography, animals, mysteries, the value of teamwork, and different cultures are among the book's elements that the kids will enjoy and learn from. The book is written from the perspective of Inca the cat in first person. This type of narration makes the kids feel like they are part of the story as well.

The author did a great job of giving the characters nuances and quirks that make them unique from each other. The narration is very well done and will definitely play with the children's imagination. The pictures accompanying the story are vibrant and cute making the reading experience more fun.

I'm giving Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat a purr-fect 4 out of 4 stars. The editing in the book is exceptional as I only found a few minor errors in it which do not hinder the reader's enjoyment of the story. It is an entertaining and fun read, and I enjoyed everything in it. The book is suitable for kids 7 to 12 years old, but I recommend for parents to accompany them in reading to explain some parts in the book (cats having 9 lives, consequence of stealing, etc.). I'm paw-sitive that kids and parents alike are going to love it more than my terrible cat puns.
