[Following is a volunteer review of "The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R Rising.]
Do Americans still have any control over our rights and freedoms? Are we truly still in another national revolution? If you’re in for a history lesson mixed with conspiracy theory, then The Solution is Political Revolution has all of the above. Jillion R. Rising spins a debatable, yet persuasive, thought-provoking glance at the American political and economic actions and corruption of politicians’ past and present.
The author’s emphasis on his background in construction and of the baby boomer generation strengthened his arguments that the American mindset is sullied. He argues that the American people are misguided by the lies the government tells about how taxed dollars are not ours but for their discretionary spending. Politicians have somehow created an illusion by using the media and ruling Wall Street to deceive the American public. The American democratic system of representation is unquestionably changing to a socialistic, centralized government that has divided the country and will lead to the eventual collapse of our monetary policy.
Rising believes that most Americans are centrists that are indicative of the Presidential election of 2016. The elimination of bipartisanship between political parties and the news media is the reality. There are no longer fair practices to share current events with Americans but a movement for sensationalized dogma meant to divide and conquer the American spirit for prosperity.
The questions and observations illuminated by Rising bring pause, and I have to ask myself, “Are we truly living under an authentic democratic system or governed by a socialistic titan?”. The ramifications of this provocative assessment are astounding. What if the American people do not wise up to what Rising explains as understanding the “financial debacle” that will divide the country caused between lobbyists and the monopolization of the free market!
Without giving away any spoilers and sounding biased, the author provides substantial evidence that strategic and deceitful collusion took place, ending in the 2008 Great Recession. Do we believe the author’s reasoning for governmental conspiracy is planting seeds to the American public, increasing the web of manipulation? As a united nation, our “citizenry” is purposely slowly eroding, and our voices to demand change from our elected officials are silenced?
I would highly recommend this book to anyone despite age, race, or creed. The author does not refer to his political party affiliation nor speaks of any party in a derogatory manner. Rising’s writing style is engaging and promotes a sense of trust. His logic about empowering the American people to unite, respect each other’s differences, and reinforce our democratic rights are noteworthy.
I rated this book a 4 out of 4. The book appears professionally edited, with only a few errors that were not distractive. Several instances use borderline profanity, and there are no erotic scenes. The author’s expressive writing style did not feel like a boring economics class; instead, it captured my emotions and rational feelings about the world’s political and economic climate. This book is an eye-opening conversation from a nonpolitical person’s perspective about how the American dollar and ideals are in trouble. The author’s unshaken conviction that our problems are solvable is inspiring and courageous.
