I actually like the quote about sympathy. Aside from the fact that I like thriller novels, the plot makes this book worth reading.

This definitely sounds a little too real—and that’s a good thing. We might use literature as a form of escapism, but it’s more just to escape our problems to run right into someone else’s. I’m not a big fan of adultery stories, but I have to agree with the view on the justice system presented in this book, if the review is accurate. Thank you for the helpful review.

I like how this book shines light on the reality of our society through different themes centered around a disintegrating marriage, betrayal, and the criminal justice system. Thank you for this detailed review.

I absolutely love how the book not only focuses on one side of the story or focus on one character, it reflects on three sides. It is a very interesting book that can relate to some situations that happens today. Thank you!

I was intrigued reading the first three pages of this book, the book is written with powerful and enticing words that keeps you glue to it. Your review captures it all. I might read a few pages more but don't see myself completing the book. Congrats on BOTD.

I was hooked by the prologue. I have read only the sample at the time of this post, as I HAD to buy it. I felt so drawn to her because I was she several years ago. The author puts Brynn's emotions and feelings into a poetic form I never could have. I don't think this book could work if it weren't written in the first person. I'm intrigued such that I want more from Hughes.
