2612 Cherryhill Lane is an 4 out of 4. It's like if Friday Night Lights met Nicholas Sparks and had a child together. While I was hesitant to give this story a chance based on the beginning, I was pleasantly surprised by the love story throughout. At first, it seemed like a predictable tale about an angry teenager with quite a lot of issues. Although it was still predictable, the minute Sam, the love interest, entered the page, a whole new story emerged.

This author truly has a knack for describing the hopeless love story of two college students. His relationship with God truly seeps through in the characters. There are underlying messages of forgiveness, a person's purpose in life, and the importance of an active relationship with God seeped throughout the story.

Growing up and living in Texas myself, I loved the relatability and familiarness of the characters and locations the story takes place. It gives the rest of the country a chance to step inside the shoes of my fellow Texans and peek into their lives. The storyline was so inspiring and heartfelt. The author's writing allowed me to feel every emotion the characters went through. Towards the end, it even brought tears to my eyes. You couldn't help but root for the young couple in the story and pray that nothing else could happen to them.

I think the emotions and certain scenarios the characters went through can be relatable to everyone in their own life. Although, I've never been through such a traumatic event, I know I've felt abandoned at times by those I've loved, have fallen in love, been hurt by it, and have come out stronger because of it. There's a story in there for every single person that reminds them of their own life. Whether it's guilt or finding approval from your parents, there's something in there that will tug at your heartstrings and make you look inward.

I am a sucker for a good love story. I can honestly admit that I was wary of his writing and the pain brought throughout the beginning of the book. I will say, by the end of this story, I could not put it down. I read it non-stop over a few hours. It is a must-read, can't put down, a classic love story. If you're a sucker for romance like myself, then pick up this book and give it a try yourself! Overall, I would give this book a 4 out of 4.
