The Hand Bringer by Christopher J. Penington is a science fiction book with the storyline about Peter - the main character who has the mission of killing Vlad Dracula to save the human race.

At the beginning of the book, Peter got bitten by a mysterious creature, and he had to go to the ASA (Apocalypse Suppression Administration) lab to find some kind of treatment that is powerful enough to save his life. ASA injected him with seenjite - the virus that can turn him into an anti-vampire person. After fully recovered, he traveled back in time to start the mission of fighting against vampires and killing Vlad Dracula to save humans. There were also more important reasons for him to do that, he wanted to go back in time to find his lost son and rescue his murdered wife.

I love how the author created the image of a hero - Peter. His character was strong, smart, and loving. And I also love the responsibilities the characters had for their families, their friends, and their community. All other characters were built excellently, also. They made me feel like they were so real and lively. I like the mix between vampire stories and time travel in the book. I think it was the first time I read a book with that kind of mix. This book absolutely deserves to be turned into a vampire movie.

There was nothing I dislike about this book. I love fiction books that can generate different types of emotions to readers, and this book did a really good job at it. I wished there were more strong romantic scenes because I think it was not enough of it in the book. As a science fiction book, it would be way more interesting if there were more science talks in this book. The book did talk about science, but it was not enough for me to feel like I was reading a "real" science fiction that can give perfect sense about science. However, I will not take any star away for those reasons. Maybe it's just me who like to see more of those scenes in this book.

I give The Hand Bringer 4 out of 4 stars. I believe that it was professionally edited. I also appreciate the pace of the book as I love books that have a fast pace. I recommend this book to people who love science fiction, but they should not be too young because this book does have many profane words and violent scenes.

It will be great to see how the main character's personal mission of saving his wife and son will affect him as he tries to kill Dracula. I look forward to reading this book.

Yes, hero. That's the right word to describe Peter with. I enjoyed reading his parts because his character was well-seasoned. Good job in your review.
