Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is the seventh book in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat. If you are finding a book to buy for your kids, this one may be what you are looking for.
Inca is a lovely kitty and the leader of a detective team. Her team has one other kitty, two dogs, and a hamster. When she was on vacation with her human mom in Sri Lanka, she decided to get involved in another challenge - finding the stolen ancient sword. How could Inca and her buddies find it, and who would they make friends with during the mission?
This book is not only for entertaining but also for educating children. I read another book in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat series before this one. They were all carefully made to teach children valuable lessons with lively and lovely animal stories. This book teaches children to love animals, be genuine, and be good people. I appreciate that the author made Inca - a female kitty, the leader of the team. I think she wants little girls to read those books and think they can also be adventurous, independent, and smart like other boys. In my perspective, this book is way better than those fairy tales which teach girls to be dependent on their “princes.”
The writing style of this book was easy to follow and suitable for kids. I also liked the illustrations, but I wish there were more of them. In general, there is nothing I do not like in this book.
For all of the reasons above, I will give Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to kids (especially girls) around seven to twelve, to parents who have kids around that age, to people who want to have kids, and to anyone who likes to read lovely books.
