[Following is a volunteer review of "Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat" by R.F. Kristi.]
Do you have a kid who relishes reading adventure and mystery books? Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi will be an entertaining choice for them. It is the seventh installment in the Snoopy Cat series and can be read as a standalone. The book narrates an adventure and spy tale full of detective fiction that kids will devour and enjoy from the first page to the last. The author narrated about a Siberian kitty and her detective mission on a small island in Sri Lanka.
Inca heads a detective firm in London. She was on a vacation with her other detective friends and a human mom on a sandy beach island in Sri Lanka. A national museum on the island was looted, and a precious sword with other artifacts stolen. Inca swung into action to recover the stolen antiques. Did she succeed in solving the mystery and save the stolen goods?
I liked how the author incorporated beautiful pictures that supplement the tale impressively and make it more realistic. Furthermore, I was impressed with the simplicity of the story's premise, which will allow kids to easily fathom and capture the gist of the story.
Lastly, the book was exciting and had a timely occurrence of events. The plot was captivating with a seamless blending of fascinating twists, and humor sprinkled throughout the book. It was well written and professionally edited. I found no grammatical errors and the formatting was excellent. Overall, I found nothing to dislike in the book.
Therefore, I enthusiastically gave the book a full rating of 4 out of 4 stars for a superb job. The book will perfectly suit kids around 5 – 12 years. I don't recommend the book to young readers above that age bracket, since they may not find the book delighting enough as the events are easily predictable to them.
