[Following is a volunteer review of "Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat" by R.F. Kristi.]
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a children's book introducing the adventures of furry fellows with their humanoid friends, Mom and Solo. This book takes the young readers to unravel a new mystery on the sunny islands of Sri Lanka.
Inca is a famous Siberian detective cat and the leader of her team. She has a habit of maintaining a diary, and the author has assembled her accounts in the book series 'Diary of a Snoopy Cat.'
As soon as the family starts vacationing on the beach of the village Galle, they discover the news of a stolen antique sword and other treasured objects. Will the team be able to go to the bottom of the case to find out the thief and the stolen items? In the middle of solving this case, Fromage also goes missing in the jungles. What would Inca do to find him while braving the wilderness of the wild?
I genuinely found this book best among all the other books in the series. The story has fun, adventure, knowledge, mystery, and ethical values for the children. I loved how the author has written this amusing adventure to match the imagination of children. I enjoyed the investigation done by Solo and how the furry family helped him whenever he would overlook some details about the case.
Usually, Fromage is the heroic cheese saver. But in this book, he has a somewhat contrasting demeanor and is deemed as the blunderbuss who never moved around without making a racket.
I couldn't find any errors in this book, and it seemed well-edited. There was absolutely nothing to dislike about this book. After reading two other books of the same series, I feel like a part of Inca's life. So, I am happy to award this book 4 out of 4 stars. From the degree of the vocabulary used, I feel this book is best suited for the kids aged eight to ten. Children will learn about kindness among the animal kingdom and how every wild animal is living in harmony with others in the jungle. They will also learn about what heritage sites look like in Sri Lanka.
