Like everyone else, Blake and his grandpa are bothered about the frightening ongoings in Palm Beach. The terrifying blue sea monster has been kidnapping children on the beach late in the evenings and very early in the mornings. What's worse? The children can't be found because the monster has taken them to a place where no one can find them. Blake and grandpa decide not to stay scared or quiet but do something about this.

They gear up and venture into the night fearlessly to scare off the monster. They also use grandpa's helicopter to help them in their search for the missing children. Just when it seems like they have tried every possible option to no avail, Blake spots something shining in the distance.

This beautiful children's fiction book, The Blue Sea Monster Terrorizing Palm Beach, was written by Norma Fleagane. In her writing, she had help from her husband, James Fleagane. She also had help from their child, Blake James Ward, who was the inspiration for the lead character. In this book, Norma takes us on a journey through the mind of a child eager for adventure. The book has an overarching theme of heroism and many moral lessons that are not only for children but for everyone else. Norma Fleagane, through the story of Blake and his grandpa, encourages us to always be brave even in the face of danger. I really enjoyed reading this short story and learned a lot of lessons that were woven beautifully into its very few pages.

I liked how the author kept the story short, simple, and direct. Like many children's books, it was written in a very creative and imaginative manner, but it wasn't so childish that I couldn't enjoy it. Unsurprisingly, the story was accompanied by illustrations. This was not just creative but also needful, especially for kids to engage with the story.

I was a little confused by the sudden inclusion of Sneaky, the mountain monster, who was an unrelated character in the plot of this story. I eventually found out that this book was part of a series and that Sneaky was a huge part of it. This is the only issue that I had with this short story. It's a children's book, so it contained no profanities, and it was professionally edited. Consequently, I rate it a 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book for children within the ages of 1 to 8 and any educator or parent who loves to read books to kids.
