Dan Willis was honorably discharged from the US army and then got a job as a salesman which he was extremely good at. Life happened to him so he lost his job and try as he might he could not get another one. On the verge of giving up he gets a job at The Factory; a government organization that deals with exterminating insurgents in the country. Being the patriot that he is, he takes the job as a hitman for his nation. All is well until he discovers his definition of insurgents is very different from his government's.

Willis's life quickly shifts from being a hunter to the hunted. He flees from government assassins and joins with various robbery crews in order to survive. Have you ever wondered if there's any honor among thieves? By the end of The Interloper you will definitely have an answer. From dealing with thieves to escaping assassins you will definitely enjoy your time with Willis as he does what he does best -“Trapping one murderous double-crossing rat after the next.”

David Zeltserman has written an engaging C/T/M/H with a fantastic lead character who keeps you glued to the goings-on in his life. There are very few typos and profanity was used thrice in the whole book. The language is simple to understand and you will not get bogged down with unnecessary details as the storyline is clean and moves at a fast pace.

In The Interloper we see what blind loyalty does to law abiding citizens and the extent to which they are willing to go for their beliefs. Treachery is alive and well as well as, a whole slew of disappointing circumstances that the lead character has to handle. Terrorism is also dealt with and you get to see another side to government directives. The struggles that come with being unemployed are also touched on. This is one of those when you get a lemon turn it into lemonade kind of deals. All in all it is a wonderful read and I highly recommend it to anybody interested in C/T/M/H.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars as not only is it well written but it is also very engaging. I liked most the fact that it did not handle terrorism as one would expect but rather took a completely different twist. There was nothing I disliked about the book. By the time you are through reading, you will be looking for the sequel because I do not believe the author meant to completely abandon us with that ending.
