Love, Grandma is a delightful children’s book by Ann Morris. It is based on the real-life experiences of the author and her granddaughters, Payton and Haley. When the girls come over to visit their grandmother, they enjoy activities such as baking, crafts, and playing in the yard.

I could not find anything to dislike about the book. There were no errors in the text, which leads me to believe that the book is professionally edited. The story is told in a simple rhyming style that young children will enjoy. As the rhymes are entertaining, they will help children remember the words as they read along.

The book is filled with colorful illustrations, and I found the text easy to read against the background. This may be an important point for people with visual issues. I have cataracts, and sometimes it is difficult for me to read text against colorful backgrounds.

This book shows the importance of fostering relationships between children and the older generations where possible. Grandma is no longer able to engage in some of the physical activities that she enjoyed when she was younger, such as gymnastics, but she still has many wonderful gifts to offer her spirited granddaughters.

I think that it is important for children to see older people depicted in a positive and realistic fashion, and this story allows them to do so. There is a great deal of disrespect for older people in modern society. Stories such as this one will allow children to see older individuals depicted in a positive fashion, which I believe will help kids develop respect for their elders.

I give Love, Grandma four out of four stars. It is a heartwarming story, and I appreciated the author allowing readers to step into her world. I think that children will enjoy virtually meeting this loving family, and adults may remember pleasant times with their own grandparents. I recommend this lovely story for parents of young children.
