Are you a business owner, or do you want to be a business owner? Are you passionate about your career, but you feel like you’re in a rut? Do you want to look for new or better ways to help your business thrive again? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then Business Basics Boot Camp by Mitche Graf is the book for you!

The author uses a great “cutting down trees” analogy that describes the overview of the entire book. Basically, you will cut down a lot of trees in the beginning, but if you don’t keep your ax sharp, then you find it harder and harder to cut the same amount of trees down every day. So, the author says this book is about “helping you keep your edge sharp.”

The author wrote this book in an attempt to help other people have a perfectly balanced work-home life. He shares cutting-edge business ideas, inspirational tales, and varying approaches to running a successful business. Mitche Graf wants to help enrich people’s lives by providing new insights on being an entrepreneur. Recurrent themes in this book include time-management, self-improvement, inspiration, and motivation. The author wants the audience to possess the qualities of an “unleashed entrepreneur,” which include working smarter and working less. Essentially, this book is about reinventing your business so you can spend your time doing things other than working.

Mitche Graf discusses automating, delegating, and eliminating certain daily tasks in a more efficient way to allow yourself more free time. He explains why he frowns upon multitasking and micromanaging and thinks they are capital mistakes in operating a business. He delves into the importance of branding, marketing, and making sure your business’s image is positive.

I enthusiastically rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is well-executed with very minimal editing issues. Business Basics Boot Camp is suitable for all audiences. The advice and tips are incredibly versatile; therefore, they can be applied to any business. I like that the author includes “exercises,” which allows the reader to really engage in the book. The questions are designed to get the audience to really think about their life and analyze it. I love the idea the author gave to visit various places of business (top-notch and low-income) and take notes on the logos, the people, the organization, etc. It allows you to get a better perspective on what is popular, what sells, and what is currently trending. There is nothing I disliked about the book.
