We are Voulhire: The Fires of Virko is the second part of the saga by Matthew Tysz. If you enjoyed reading the first part, you will also enjoy the second. This new world filled with magic, unusual and ordinary beings will make you indulge and eagerly read every next page. If you may still be confused and have not remembered the cities of this new country, the author once again offers us a map as a small reminder at the very beginning.

Namely, the main character Galen Bray in this part begins his journey to Virko in search of steel because there is not enough in Magnum Caelum. On his way to this industrial city, he is accompanied by Rowan and Demetrius. They meet a lot of new people who want to help them reach their goals. But which of them has a good intention? Who wants to help them? That mysticism is something that will keep you in suspense until the very end of reading the second part.

What did I like most about reading this book? Unlike the first part, where the author puts the characteristics of the characters and the history of Voulhire in the foreground, and only later the main events occur, the second part is very dynamic from the very beginning. The plot is also clearer. The characters are stronger, both the old ones, which are mentioned in the first part and the new ones. The stories behind the characters are getting deeper and more complex so I’m sure every reader can find themselves in one of them, if not entirely at least on a metaphorical level. I would rate this book with 4 out of 4 stars, the content is much more interesting than the first part, so I hope that the author will not let me down with the third part, which I can't wait to read.

The thing I disliked most about the book is that if you haven't read the first part, you won't be able to understand the second part completely because the book doesn't have a short retrospective of characters, events, and history of this new magical world. So I would recommend if you are interested in reading this story and Galen Bray's adventure you start from the first part so you can fully understand what Matthew Tysz is writing.

I would not recommend this book to younger people because this part contains a bit more sensitive topics, topics that are very current but there are seen from the perspective of the old days. The book also contains a lot of vulgar words, but it is very well written, without mistakes or I did not notice them because I was distracted by a very interesting, dynamic, unexpected, exciting story.
