The Dark Web Murders is a thriller book that explores the darkest corners of the human mind in a nail-biting spiral of savage crimes. Brian O'Hare has skillfully designed a complex yet dynamic plot that will send the reader down a rabbit hole without a visible end. Having written three award-winning prequels to The Dark Web Murders, O'Hare makes sure not to leave this one behind.

The book follows a killer detective Sheehan and his team are trying to catch--one with an interesting quirk: writing detailed murders in a Deep Web blog. As the team tries to figure out the connection between the victims and a secret club, the killer justifies the crimes through words, claiming that justice has been served. After much work, the little details give detective Sheehan and his team enough evidence to identify this criminal, just in time for the 'last' murder.

Regarding profanities, you'll find them everywhere as most characters curse, which makes them feel more real. In terms of sexual content, you will find some graphic and heavy descriptions that will usually contain violence as well. Nothing romantic, for sure.

If you love a good crime story with hints you'll likely overlook and a plot that'll mislead you so that you don't know who the killer is until the very end, you better read this book. Aside from the insightful philosophy sessions and the interesting facts, the last few chapters make this book a must for crime readers. However, if you're not into crimes or violence, I would advise you to keep your distance. There's also a passage that defames Christianity, so I'd advise discretion as well if you want to read it and think you may be offended by it.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars. I just loved it. The evidence was present, but it was O'Hare's storytelling ability that led me to either dismiss or overlook the information. I enjoyed the premise, the way the book is written, the thought-provoking blog posts, and even the scary realization that there may be people like that in the world. Without any noticeable typos, The Dark Web Murders is exceptionally well-edited and brilliantly written. A great read for sure.
