The book How To Be Successful by M. Curtis McCoy is a book about how to be successful as mentioned in the title. The book will give you in depth ways to start your journey to be successful. With topics such as: What Is Your Excuse?, Create Opportunities For Success, Provide A Solution, and etc. It will also tackle M. Curtis McCoy's journey to success and his story before success.

The book starts out with an introduction that contains the story of our author. It talks about how he was successful at a young age but was then diagnosed with brain cancer. He would later then lose the ability to do anything, he would lose the successful life he had been working hard for. His family would then take him to Tijuana, Mexico hoping to find a treatment for his cancer. Then like a splash of ink on water he was suddenly inspired to make a difference in as many lives as possible. He would call leaders asking them how to be successful and talk about how they became into the person they know, which is a successful person. One of my most favorite chapters is called "Make others feel appreciated", it mentioned topics that I can relate to. Since it follows my principles of respecting people. I also agree on his terms in which our definition of success changes overtime. Since we learn to love and appreciate new things we tend to forget the goals we had in mind.

As for the writing of the book and its structure, I think it's quite narrative and clean. The stories he told corresponded to the subtitle. Though I do think the format shouldn't have been like that since it feels like the stories were just clips. It would have been nice if the stories didn't have subtitles and were written directly. I also think the book has some great insights on how to be successful such as when will you consider yourself successful or what are the steps you should take to improve and etc. From what I've experienced, success isn't something that is measured and it isn't a goal, it's the journey you take and what it took for you to get here.

The book doesn't contain any foul languages since they were censored with asterisk symbols. It also doesn't contain any sexual content. It is simply a book that can guide you on your journey to success.

I give this a book a 3 out of 4 stars since the content itself was really helpful. Though as I mentioned before the subtitles kind of bugged me sometimes. Nevertheless the book was insightful and helpful. It didn't contain any grammatical errors. And I highly recommend this book to people who feel low and want to improve themselves.

This book sounds like an amazing manual for help — not just for oneself, but for being at your best to support others. Definitely going to give it a read. Thank you!

I also enjoyed it, but it had way too much religion in it for me. Tanks for the honest review!
