Book Review - The Great Awakening

The Great Awakening follows a family in a distant futuristic society trying to navigate life as a out of control manmade comma inducing virus seeps across the world wreaking havoc upon their once beautiful utopia, but as lockdowns a being set in motion and scientists race to find a far more sinister plot unfolds in the shadows.

The story The Great Awakening takes place a dozen years after Earth Won. The main characters, Seymour and Ruby, now have a son ,a daughter and twin boys. All seems well for the family but fate (and a white crow) quickly turn their world upside down when news of a very contagious disease is putting people in a coma by the millions. The family is forced to seek refuge in their castle with the rest of their village until a cure can be made for the virus. Progress is made and life may soon returns to normal a sudden twist in the situation calls for further investigation and a plan to save humanity.

What I like about this book is how different and unique the way the story is set out. I someone who didn't read the previous book didn't feel the need to guess who was who and it seems the events of the previous book were not mention once which is good in some way because I could read this entire book not knowing at all what happened in the previous book and not get lost or confused as to what is going on.I also like the QR codes found across the book are a nice fun way to interact with the book in a different way.

What I dislike about this book that it seems that too many ideas came into the author head at the same time so the story would jump from one place to another. The pictures in the book were unnecessary and seemed cheap and corny.

I would like to rate this book a two out of four because the original idea seemed great it's the executoin of the idea which was the real turnoff of the book.
