We are Voulhire: The Flesh of the Mind by Matthew Tysz is the sixth novel of the Voulhire series. This detailed book will take any reader on an adventure filled with magic and science as we discover hidden secrets and follow Demetrius, Galen and Rowan on an adventurous journey through Voulhire.

This novel introduces new characters in the Voulhire series. This novel affords us the opportunity to explore deeper into the existing main characters which are Galen, Rowan, Demetrius and Meldorath which is satisfying for readers who have been following the Voulhire series. The way in which the events occur in this novel are consistent and are fairly simple to follow. As the plot unfolds, we explore the emotional depths of each character and what makes them different from each other. The way Matthew Tysz has constructed this book is absolutely brilliant as we look deep into what makes the Voulhire series.

For the first time, Galen, Demetrius and Rowan embark on their journeys separately. Galen is in search for Meldorath in the infinite land known as Caromentis. Demetrius and Rowan head to the center of the Dire Vine Jungle. There is a lot of cliff hangers in this novel that would leave a reader wanting more. It seems that enemies now have to become allies in order to rise above the Emperor. There is a lot of new concepts discussed in this book such witches battle, prophecies and whether Rowan and Demetrius will discover that Galen is alive. Emperor of Lullabies invades Voulhire and the Riva Rohavi continue to cause havoc. I really appreciated the fact that there is use of a female character in a pivotal role, known has Lady Angela of Cridaea. She holds power and status on the council.

Storytelling is excellent. There is enjoyable fights scenes and humor. I will rate this book 3 out of 4 stars . It is undoubtingly a fantastic book. I love the fact that the book has been professionally edited. There was excessive use of profanity that is offensive to some readers. This book is unlike the other Voulhire novels as I found it to be slower paced and packed with character content. I did wish we got to experience more of Meldorath like in the other books. I really enjoyed how Matthew Tysz let the characters embark on their own journeys which is unusual. I recommend this book to mature individuals due to excessive vulgar languages.

We are Voulhire: The Flesh of the Mind by Matthew Tysz is beautiful novel that explore the depths of multiple worlds which is filled with magic. The plot is unpredictable and as a reader, I was able to follow this novel without confusion. Matthew Tysz has created another world filled with characters that come to life!
