[Following is a volunteer review of "Me Inside" by Martha Miller.]

[rwc=id480978-125]3 out of 4 stars.[/rwc]The book Me inside is an extremely powerful story of a young adult (a nineteen year old) who got caught up in an unfortunate fate. Her once perfect life vanished suddenly after the murder of her father. At first, she felt guilty that her inactions had led him to his untimely death but everything about her emotions changed as she struggled to adapt to life with her 'lesbo' grandmother. She gradually began to understand who she was and why things were going the way they were. She began a quest to finding her father's murderer and this would lead to the discovery of her own self.

I am still dipping my toes into lesbian literature but the book got me intrigued to reading more of it. I found myself thinking of it like it was my cup of tea. The author, Martha Miller, introduced lesbianism in a way that made me think twice. Like is they another category of lesbianism? Or am I also a 'born lesbian'? I loved the way lesbians were projected in the book, this alone made me more intrigued to read it to the end. I also admire the way the author projected its characters. Each character believe and value was made understandable and this values were maintained throughout the story. The book was completely free of typographical or grammatical error and this helped the flow of the text. There's no distraction while reading and that's a major quality of a good book.

The only flaw(not really a flaw though) i found in this book was the slow plot. At some point while reading i flipped back to check the title, they didn't seem to connect. The beginning of the book was a bit boring and it looked too far from the title. Nevertheless, it's nice enough that the plot was unpredictable.

I'll rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. Apart from the little boredom I got at the beginning of the story, reading the book was a very interesting and educating journey.

I don't think anyone will not benefit from reading this book but if you are a reader of suspence, love and a bit of crime stories , this book is the perfect one for you.
