The Juicy Fruit Man by Lamar Going is an amazing read. The book is suspenseful and engaging. I loved the suspense of the book. Just when you thought you have it all figured out or the answer to what`s about to happen next, it takes on a new wild twist. It gives off the life of Declan Noakes, a Vietnam veteran. One can`t help in falling deeper and deeper with the story as it unfolds. I fell in love with the plot and flow of events and characters especially. The characters are memorable and beautifully made- up to assist in the perfect execution of the story. It has exquisite details of the countryside.

What I loved about this book was the fact that it is a brilliantly penned novel, one can tell upon reading. It’s full of mysteries and delightful drama. This is amazing and exceptional work. I loved the fact that it was short and sweet. It contained relevant information and manageable characters hence it made it easier for me to follow through.

Therefore, I rate this book,The Juicy Fruit Man by Lamar Going a 3 out of 4 stars. It was quite engaging and every page left an imprint on me. There were no noticeable grammatical errors upon scrutiny. I must say the book was well and professionally edited.

The book was fine but I didn`t like the following aspects. I felt as if the book would stand out had it not been for these mishaps. Unfortunately, the author gave some info without prior research. There is a place where the book incorrectly describes the death of Martin Luther King Junior, Robert. F. Kennedy and the Democratic Convention in Chicago. The year was cited wrongly, the events took place in the year, 1968. The author dates it back to the year 1965.

I would recommend this book to readers who love mystery and drama. This book can also apply to those who love veteran stories. It’s a well-written crime thriller that will bring you to the edge of your seat. Characters were perfectly written and brought out especially Declan. Its setting is drawn back to the late seventies before the invention of mobile phones and technology. The period goes way back. If you are into modern or any sort of technology, then this is not the book for you. This is a book I would read over and over again just to relieve its sweet and captivating moments. I would recommend this book to my friends. Lamar Going is a force to be reckoned with. This author will soon be the next big thing to go down in novel histories. He knows how to bring out a story and move the readers.
