Business Basics Bootcamp, by Mitche Graf, is a book for entrepreneurs searching to change their lifestyle. Particularly, I would recommend it for young business people who suffer from burnout symptoms and want to change that. This book presents a handful of advice related to how to live a 24/7 lifestyle. However, this means something different: work 24 hours a week, only 7 months a year. It starts by presenting some life facts from Graf; then, it gives some advice related to marketing, sales, and branding; finally, it portrays the opportunity to change your business habits, and work smarter instead of harder.

What I liked about this book was that it allows you to read it very fast and that you can understand it. It has a very oral and friendly style and tone. Reading the book becomes pleasant because of this. At the same time, the book presents a lot of quizzes to restructure your business. It works as a manual and a guide for you. You can always revisit the book and do this with calm, either by yourself or with your team. I believe this knowledge and activities help you change your business and processes practically.

What I disliked was the tone of the book at some points. It shows some different ways to make and create and business, but it can also be a very selfish method. I think the author does not deepen in the counterarguments of his advice. At some points, it is very troublesome. For example, he proposes to do only the necessary-and-enjoyable activities for your business, but he does not mention who will do the ones you leave behind. Work does not disappear in thin air. This is something I dislike, for it narrows your perspective. It is okay to better yourself and your business, but you should also see the consequences of your actions and how to mitigate them.

The book was professionally edited with just a couple of typos (mostly about format). It does not affect the reading. The book does not attempt against anyone’s religious beliefs. It does not contain profanity nor sexual descriptions.

I would rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because it was a good and practical reading experience for new entrepreneurs, yet it does not present counterarguments to his point. In the end, I think this would be a nice thing to include, so the entire argument could become stronger. I would recommend this book for people who feel burnout from their everyday life and activities, especially if they are entrepreneurs. Also, I think this would be a wonderful book for new business people trying to create their future since it presents a very practical starting point.
