It is filled with secrets – secret realms, secret passions, secret motives and secret plans. As the story unfolds you see that not all characters have benevolent intentions and what their motivations truly are…

I absolutely loved the way We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies was written from various characters points of view! They are memorable and diverse. There are even a few quirky characters that had me laughing out loud at some of their antics and comments (here I think of Rowan and the tavern scene). This allows the reader to piece the story together, in and amongst the layers of mystery, history and philosophy. This book explores another world through the author’s vivid descriptions and imagery.

The only negative from my side would be that after the first chapter has an action packed start, it took me a little time to get into the next few chapters but was well worth it as the pace once again quicken and I could not put the book down.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is very well written and edited. Truly a captivating read and I am so grateful that this is the first in a new series of novels!

This is a non-fiction novel that will appeal to lovers of the fantasy genre but also to people who enjoy an intriguing read with characters that have you wondering how they tick and what their true motivations are.
