A mystery-filled, action-packed tale about Soulhire: the capital of Voulhire and its neighboring towns and cities. The livelihoods of the people in Voulhire; their hardships and successes. Each person pushing towards their success, towns prospering in their own right through hard labor.

While humans aim to prosper, there are magical creatures with more magic than they know what to do with- aiming to destroy all that the humans work towards achieving. It's the battle of the spirit world vs the physical world, with the spirit world aiming to overwhelm the physical world.

A king seeks to protect his subjects against a powerful magical lord; who's driven by greed to obtain more power even if it means executing despicable acts against humanity. Is the king wise to want to protect his kingdom against the harsh reality that the monster is alive and can't be tamed? Or, is he a fool to let his people go about; oblivious of the lurking danger that is Lord Meldorath?

The supernatural entities battle it out with the humans in wars that will destroy all that Voulhire has achieved thus far. The well-being of the people of Voulhire is threatened and soon their worst fears come to reality; powerful lords in the physical world are murdered, from the head of the family to the youngest offspring- all in cold blood and it's just another day in Voulhire; the next lord will pick up as if nothing happened.

Chaos and destruction follow Lord Meldorath like his own shadow, driven by hate and fueled by the desire for revenge, Voulhire is destined for mass destruction by his hand. Is the king equipped and powerful enough to stop him? Are his knights well prepared?

Betrayal and disloyalty drive this suspenseful drama, it's every man for himself; survival of the fittest, and the well equipped with magic- only the strongest survive. The ordinary humans' livelihood is threatened to be swiped out.

If you're a supernatural, fantasy, and science fiction enthusiast, then, We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is for you. Matthew Tysz vividly describes every scene, I was sucked in. The storyline will have readers glued to their reading devices the entire time. I liked the book because it showed major signs of proofreading by its editors, and I found exactly zero typos which made it a delight to read the book. I also liked that the storyline is not confusing- the details are explained well.

There's absolutely nothing I disliked about the book, as a matter of fact, I can't wait to read the next installment. I rate We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies a 4 out of 4 stars because it is well edited and the storyline is well thought out, it captured my attention from start to finish, the storyline does not drag on and on to nothing.

The book contains a lot of profanity, but not enough to put one off the book, it makes the book even more real. This book is for the supernatural, suspense, mystery, fantasy, and science fiction fanatics - brace yourself for a mindblowing read.
