Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is an educative and entertaining stand-alone book for young readers. It is the seventh book in the series. The book contains adventurous events experienced within eight days by Inca and her family.

Inca, a Siberian cat, and her family decided to spend the holiday on an island in Sri Lanka. While at the island, her mum read from a local newspaper that a valuable old antique sword was stolen from the museum. Inca (cat detective), with her detective team, became curious and began an investigation on the robbery. They were determined to solve the mystery. Will the detectives find the thieves in time before the holiday is over? Read the book to find out.

I enjoy how the author explains each day's adventure and excitement. The message of unity, teamwork, and diligence expressed in the book had a captivating effect. They are important, as I believe the readers will learn these core virtues from the storyline. In addition, the pictorial illustration in the book is helpful for young readers to understand and visualize the characters accurately.

My favorite character in the book is Inca. I admire her leadership skills, curiosity, and interpersonal relationship. Also, I love how the author uses the character of Terrance, the only doggy detective in Inca's detective team, to depict loyalty and responsibility.

There is one thing I dislike about the book. The book seems to be voluminous. I believe young readers might get easily distracted because of its length. Also, I found a few errors in this book, but they did not affect my reading experience.

Therefore, I rate Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat 4 out of 4 stars because of its adventurous and stimulating lessons. I recommend this book to young readers between 5 to 14 years old. They will learn the value of bravery, teamwork, and responsibility.
