Please read the book, I'm sure you'll find great parts in it. As whole there are some weaker parts and a dose of machismo that I don't like. Thanks for the comment.

I've also read and reviewed this book. I had the same problem with the novella, which fell short in comparison to the stories. I really enjoyed your review!

Reading the novella I felt, at times, like I was a pinball ball. Thanks for the compliment and for stopping by.

I have just finished the same book and it was very interesting to read your review. You have pointed out some aspects that I never noticed. Your review is very thorough and the rating is justified.

The author touches on a variety of topics in this collection of stories. I appreciated your comments about the remaining themes that could have been included. Great analysis of the character development!

I totally agree. Also, I would say that in stories, when we have only one or two main characters, the focus is much sharper. Thanks for stopping by.

I'm glad you liked my review. This is a collection of stories from the author’s youth, which he published in his mature years, so the stories were indeed written in the 70’s.

Thanks for your review. I find it intriguing that the author managed to craft so many fleshed out characters. Done must be pretty talented, or at least rather creative. I do find that compilations and anthologies often have the issue of one story in the beginning or middle overshadowing everything else. I kind of wish they were organized from least to greatest to prevent let downs, but I know quality is subjective. Also, many people probably wouldn't even keep reading far enough to make it to the great stuff. So, I suppose there just needs to be more quality control.
