Thank you for your comments! I agree that it was dramatic and predictable. That's one thing which I didn't cover in my review, you see there's always something that catches your eye and you can't seem to think about other aspects. And I perfectly understand your wish to skip this book due to the above reasons.

It's interesting that you mentioned the Ghost Rider movie because your summary of this book reminded me of it and The Mummy series. So, I might just take a look at this novel.
