Review of Fish Wielder

[Following is a volunteer review of "Fish Wielder" by J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison.]
Fish Wielder by J.R.R.R. (Jim) Hardison is a novel that will take you to the magical realm of Grome where Thoral Mighty Fist battles with all kinds of creatures to save the world from the pudding-hungry evil.
Thoral Mighty Fist, a man who has glorious hair, startling violet eyes and unnaturally white teeth, has a koi fish called Bradford as his best friend, a massive tiger-striped steed named Warlordhorse that can smell danger and a magic sword, Blurmflard, that glows pink when its magic word is uttered. He doesn't like warm ale but still drinks it to drown his sorrows and keeps on seeking adventure for the same purpose. The adventure, this time, comes in the form of Bad Religion who want to recover the lost Pudding of Power for the Heartless One so that they can conquer the land of Grome. Would Thoral be able to stop the Heartless One? Or would this be his last adventure?
I loved this book so much. It had me smiling the whole time I was reading it. Some of the funniest instances, like spanking of the hairy buttocks of Necrogrond, Thoral always being on the verge of losing but coming out victorious, him acknowledging that he is Thoral Mighty Fist, him using specially made paper to wipe his mighty behind and several more, had me cracking up. It was adorable to see Thoral treat his friends, Bradford and Warlordhorse, so tenderly. The twist where Elford reveals his reasoning for coming there, and Brad's incredulous expression and sarcastic comments made that scene the most engaging. The way the author has explained the most obvious jokes, and the unpredictability of the story made it a delightful read. One can never guess what is going to happen next.
There was nothing that I didn't like in the book. The way the author humorously explains the most serious situations, and even the gory details, like the part where the priest's head killed the one behind him and the guy behind him and the guy behind him, keep the reader amused and entertained. The humour keeps the reader indulged and makes the book a page-turner.
I would happily give this book four out of four stars for its humour, action and amazing storyline. I didn't find any errors in the book, and it seemed exceptionally well-edited. The flow and writing style of the book keep the reader captivated.
This book is a great read for lovers of fantasy, humour, magic and action. I would not recommend this book to children due to the descriptive violent and gory scenes, but it is a wonderful book for the mature audience.
