Mister Pushkin Turns Over A New Leaf by AC Michael is the second volume containing twelve delightful tales. The main character is Mister Pushkin, a feisty cat with a unique personality. He enjoys sitting by the window, looking at every species crossing the street. His second favorite thing is eating. He loves his salmon and milk. If he is not on the windowpane or eating, you can bet he is up to something.

If you have read the first volume and are familiar with Mister Pushkin’s antics, you are probably wondering if he has turned over a new leaf for the better or worse? I cannot divulge much without spoiling the book, but I can confirm that Mister Pushkin will keep you entertained. Although this book is the second volume, it is independent, and the tales can be read as stand-alone.

There are many positive aspects to this book. Young readers will enrich their vocabulary, learn several positive moral lessons, and laugh out loud as the tales are sprinkled with humor.

The editing is impeccable, as I did not come across any grammatical and typo errors.

There was nothing to dislike about the book. The author skillfully blends several captivating writing styles and paints vivid pictures through his narration, enabling the reader to envision scenes easily. The language used is clean, the tales are crafted elegantly, and all twelve tales were enjoyable.

Overall, I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars as I have no reason to withhold a star.

The author recommends the book to children aged two years and above. The targeted audience will undoubtedly enjoy the tales, but the English used in the book is slightly more advanced for young readers. They will need to consult a dictionary as they read or require some help from an adult. For instance, the book contains words I do not think five-year-olds are familiar with, such as endorphins, aghast, incinerated, and several other words. This book is ideal for toddlers and pre-teens.

Fun fact: In real life, cats terrify me. I am particularly scared of their claws.
Thanks for the comment Mtibza

The right books can help mold a child and teach them life lessons. Children will not only enjoy Mr Pushkin's adventures, they'll learn a thing or two from the book.
