Soul Seeker by Kaylin McFarren is a multifaceted story primarily about a demon named Crighton. The story begins with the back story of a character that has been immensely manipulated by Crighton. After his story is told, the story moves onwards to another character that is shown to be a despicable human being, even to demons. Throughout the book, Crighton is transformed into something that is seemingly impossible for demons which makes the story exciting and suspenseful throughout.

One positive I would like to point out is how the author presented the first character to the reader. The author portrayed this character in such a way that the reader questioned why Crighton would treat him the way he did. By the end of the story, the author brought the first character around, full circle, and it allowed the reader to receive much-needed closure. Another positive is how the author transitioned from one character’s story to another. The author was able to smoothly transition the main character’s feelings and actions based on which character he was interacting with.

I only have one negative to write about, and it is a personal preference regarding the first character that was introduced. At the beginning of the book, the first character, Benjamin Poe, was introduced to the reader with immense detail and back story. I did not like how his story was not completed at the beginning and it was left open to interpretation until the ending. I would have liked closure on this character and not just an open-ended conclusion. However, by the end of the book, Benjamin Poe’s story was completed, and it gave the reader a sense of closure which was much needed in my opinion.

I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy reading about fictitious battles between Heaven and Hell or angels and demons. This book would also be a great read for an audience who enjoys reading about unlikely romantic relationships. This book has minimal sexual scenes. However, there are parts with little lude descriptions that should not deter younger readers from enjoying the book.

I rate this book with 4 out of 4 stars. This book is extremely well edited as I did not find a single error while reading it. This book is extremely well written because it is apparent the author researched this genre and was able to depict scenes in an accurate way to ensure that the reader was able to receive accurate depictions about Heaven and Hell.

Great job at summarizing the book without giving away important details. I already read this one myself, but based off your review l would have picked it up!
