Review of The Fugitive (The Border Series Book 5)
The Fugitive written by David Griffith, explained about a high-spirited man named Lonnie that had been very close to his death for many times. He spent months hiding and trying to escape from everything that could make his distance and death is just a pinch-size. He used to work as an intelligence and face a lot of circumstances that the character already expected and prepared for the worst to happen. He realized that all the problems is just inevitable as he tried to push away against all the unwanted things but they appeared to come back even worse like a blazing fire. Lonnie had been aiming to settle down the illegal drug business since a long time ago but after the event had passed, troubles continuously getting into his life with an endless ending.
One day, his brother, Gus have been shot by whom they thought it was Carlos but it turns out, Carlos had died earlier than the date of incidence. It turns out Lonnie fit to be the suspect of murder. His life after the incidence is just miserable. The real shooter was a real expert as Lonnie cannot even track any piece of him. In order to avoid being arrested, he made a move to hide. As an expert, to escape from anything is a piece of cake for Lonnie but not to his family. He need to find a way to protect his family from any danger. That is how big Lonnie’s past to his and his family’s present and future.
The storyline for this book amazed me as the details can really be pictured by me as i am watching a movie. The way the author described every single event can really make my heartbeat stopped whenever there was a surprise and can even make me burst into tears whenever there was a chance to be sad. It triggers my curiosity in which I could not even stop reading it and wanted to crave for more. The author included adequate usage of dialogues making the reader able to feel there was a real conversation happened instead of describing it in a long sentence.
There was no mistake in the terms of language usage, grammar and spelling within my knowledge. All the sequences of events, language and expression fit in this novel are just in a perfect manner and well edited. I tried so hard to think about the imperfections but could not find any. Maybe, I hate the way the author too creative adding plot twist one after another, it just like an endless suspense. I rate it 4 out of 4 stars because this type of novel really fit my interest perfectly plus the sequence of event, usage of language and creativity to explain and describe every scene are just marvelous.
This book is recommended for those people whose heart is really into crime, mysterious, suspense, action and adventure kind of reading. As for me, i do think that this book is suitable for all range of ages. Honestly, I can wait to read the other books from this series.
