[Following is a volunteer review of "Chameleons" by Onyx Gold.]
Zia is a junior literary agent who has no interest in relationships and just wants to find the one story that will put her on the path to become a senior agent, until she meets Bryce. As her relationship with Bryce develops, Zia finds and champions a book that blows her career wide open. As Zia gets to know author Baxter better, she finds herself becoming more and more confused about what and who she wants as she finds her life starting to parallel the world Baxter writes about. Chameleons by Onyx Gold takes the reader on a thrilling ride that is full of surprises that leave the reader guessing right up until the end.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Chameleons, Gold paints a vivid picture with their words that made the story easy to read and hard to put down. I enjoyed that the thrills and surprises last right up until the last couple pages, it kept me on my toes the entire way through the book.
I enjoyed this book so much that I don't have anything negative to say about it. I didn't finish the book feeling like anything was missing or could have been done any better.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars . I was captivated from the first page to the last and am excited to start on the sequel soon.
I would recommend this book to anyone that likes thrillers or steamy romance stories, this book has plenty of both!
