When I glanced at the cover of this book, at first, I did not consider reading it. I thought the story was about space and spaceships. I was wrong. E M P Honeymoon is an action-filled story about how a simple honeymoon turns into a spying spree. Kelly and Tom are on their honeymoon in Caribbean Island when a series of events lead to a very top-secret case. Kelly walks into a gift shop where she discovers that the shop was more than it appeared. It had a high-tech lab behind, and no one seemed to know this, not even the locals. No one seemed to care. This turn of events leaves Kelly shaken, and she immediately knows that her life is in danger. She narrowly escapes the gift shop when they discover her as an intruder. This event leaves her shaken, and she calls her brother Mike, who turns heaven and earth to keep her safe. It leads to the deployment of two bodyguards, Agatha and Sharon, and CIA agent Steve. The work of this A team is to find out the purpose of the suspicious high-tech lab.

I enjoy a good espionage book, and I liked the storyline of this book. The characters were well built, and the flow of the story was exceptional. Each chapter joined the next effortlessly. This story also explains how easy it is to be destructive using technology. People don't need massive bombs to do damage as they used to do. Now people can use one tiny bomb to destroy an entire advanced civilization. One thing that I really would have loved is more action. Kelly's team was always able to spy on their counterparts without them ever suspecting a thing. It could have been intense if there could be a car chase or a shootout. Thinking fast, focusing, and situation awareness are among the things Kelly's team needed to survive.

There is nothing I disliked about this book. Dorothy May Mercer has done an incredible job with this book. It is easy to comprehend and enjoy. I like how she managed to build the villains and make the reader dislike them. It is also impressive how the spies were top-notch. They could live and leave a place without ever drawing attention to themselves.

I would highly recommend this book to young adults and adults who enjoy espionage stories. The editing is exceptional, with zero errors.

I award E M P Honeymoon a rating of 4 out of 4 stars because the storyline is fascinating and easy to comprehend, and the editing is also professional.
