The book Chameleons is a compelling story, about a young woman named Zia who is a literary agent. As the story begins you get to know a lot about who she is as a person. When she enters her work building, she runs into a new guy who happens to start working at the building that day. This is Bryce, a 30ish year old man who is an accountant. Bryce is immediately stunned and amazed by Zia’s beauty, right then he decides that he wants her.

Now meet Baxton, a handsome Britain with the skill to write a, so called dead genre of a book, about vicious murders and killings going on in New York. Baxton is a rich man wanting to get his book published only by one person, Zia. Zia soon finds his book sample and immediately falls in love with it. Wanting the whole thing, she starts speaking with the author continuously. Meanwhile, Zia begins to date Bryce, while slightly flirting with her new hopeful author Baxton. As the story progresses Zia finally gets the break in her career she's been waiting for and gets Baxton’s book Chiseled Bone published. This soon leads to their inevitable meeting. Although this meeting doesn’t go as planned, Zia begins a steamy sex affair with Baxton. As the books Baxton writes continue, so does the unwanted affair as well as curiously connected murders in the state of New York.

Chameleons goes from several perspectives in the book. It occasionally will jump to Bryce’s feelings about Zia then back to Zia’s thoughts and actions. As the story goes on there is an unknown person's perspective, this man is killing people. When reading his parts, you learn about a man who feels like the women's race should be extinguished. His part is to kill and dismember those unworthy women. As the story continues Zia fights her lust for Baxton and her love for Bryce.

This book has a lot of great things in it. First, is the love triangle between Bryce, Zia, and Baxton. With the steamy sex and continuous emotional battles Zia fights, it makes you want to keep reading just to find out who she ends up with. Though this book isn't just about sex and lust. Chameleons has a kind of mystery in it that you didn’t expect when you start the story. This adds a whole new kind of need to continue, with the questions of who’s the killer and your thoughts bouncing back between possible suspects you're even more invested.

I have no problems with this book. The author, Onyx Gold, does a magnificent job of keeping you guessing all the way through. With this book being professionally edited, it makes for an easy read. Giving you the ease of escaping into the story and all of its hot and mysterious actions and twists.

Chameleons by Onyx Gold is a suspenseful romance with hot sex and brutal murders. If you are one who loves to get lost in a book then this book should be on the top of your list. I recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about a love triangle with some unexpected mystery. I rate this book a four out of four stars. With no errors, this book deserves to be on anyone's book list.
