[Following is a volunteer review of "Hello, My Love" by Evy Journey.]
An affair just days before Greg Thorpe's wedding changes the trajectory of the lives of both him and Elise Haverlson. The jilted lover, Lori Williams causes Greg to have a lot of issues in business as well as his personal life. He tries to protect Elise by keeping away and just avoiding her at all costs.
Elise is hurt since Greg cuts off communication after their night together. The affair she had brought a whole set of issues for her when she discovers that she is pregnant. Will she keep the baby? The support of Elise's parents in her career as a lawyer is admirable especially when she gets her first major case. After years of not communicating, Greg reaches out to Elise to have a try at a relationship. Greg gets a call that Elise is is in surgery after a hit and run. Was it intentional or was it just an accident?
Hello ,My Love by Evy Journey combines romance drama and twists that makes this book an immersive read .The first part of the book engages us in a cute-meet between the main characters Greg and Elise. The book is written majorly from the point of view of the characters.
The thing I love about this book is the authors ability to bring the secondary characters to life that facilitates the building of the main character in several aspects of their social lives. It also helps to understand several issues that they may have in their traits. Mrs. Haverlson and Bob step into this role perfectly.
I love that the author brings several issue to life such as forgiveness and healing, loneliness and depression, self-doubt, to mention but a few. These issues are things that we go through in our daily lives which make us think and see how we deal with such issues and the cause so that we can grow even as the characters grow.
The book is easy to read, the language is appealing and the table of content is of great help especially if you do not have a bookmark. There were no exhaustive issues with grammar.
The book is quite engaging such that you feel what the characters feel, be it hurt, love or even pain. As a reader you do not want to put the book down until the story ends. I have chosen to give the book a rating of four out of four stars.
I recommend this book to a mature audience that loves romance and drama.
