Zia is a twenty-three year old literary agent who has sworn off love. She has her mind set that she will find the "one" book that will set her on the path to money and success. That starts to change when she has an encounter with Bryce, an attorney whose office is in the same building. He seems to be Mr. Perfect and totally committed to her. Meanwhile, that perfect manuscript shows up in her inbox. She and the author, Baxter Leopold, start communicating on a daily basis about more than just his manuscript. They agree to meet while she is in New York on business. Zia finds herself in the midst of a love triangle. Within a tangled web of lies, deception, and danger, someone isn't who they say they are and there is danger lurking. Read Chameleons by Onyx Gold, unravel the mystery within, be on the look out for danger, and sweat through the romantic encounters. Chameleons is a fantastic multi-genre read.

There are many good aspects going for Chameleons. The descriptive writing that Gold uses really enabled me to envision myself in the story. I found myself attached to certain characters and mad at others. I was able to really immerse myself into the book within the first two chapters, which is a must for me. I love the friendship between Zia and Jazz. The surprises in this book were many. For example, Zia finding out the identity of Jazz's father.

There wasn't anything that I necessarily disliked about this book. The first few pages were a little off-putting due to the vocabulary. Especially the first page, which was very wordy. However, I encourage readers to get through it and keep reading.

I am giving Chameleons a 3 out of 4 stars due to some grammatical errors that I noticed throughout the book.

Due to the sexual and violent content, I would recommend that this be read by mature audiences only. If erotica is not for you, this book is not for you either.
